I just wanted to share some information about myself in case you were interested! This is my 10th year teaching at GMS. My first 2 years I taught 8th grade ELA and math; the next 4 years I was teaching 7th grade ELA and math. This is my 4th year back in 8th grade and teaching only math! GMS is a great place to teach, and Galena is a wonderful place to live. Being part of the small-town atmosphere is something that I really enjoy. I love living in Galena, and I love what I do...life couldn't get much better than this! :)

attended K-12 Benton School District (Benton, WI)
earned Bachelor's degree from UWP (Platteville, WI) in Elementary/Middle Level Education with a minor in Elem/Mdl Level Math
earned Master's degree from Ashford University (Clinton, IA) in Curriculum & Instruction
Family:
I live in Galena with my boyfriend, Josh Virtue (a Galena alum). We bought a house here in Dec. 2012 after having rented in town for the first few years.
Our goldendoodle AJ is just the cutest--yes, I know I am totally biased!
My mom stills live in the house I grew up in in Benton; my dad passed away in August 2016. My mom, a veteran teacher of 30+ , retired from Benton Schools in May 2017.
My brother and his wife have 3 children--2 girls and a boy--and live in New Glarus, WI. My brother, a teacher with 20+ years under his belt, teaches 1st/2nd grade split in New Glarus and is also the head boys' basketball coach.
Personal Tidbits:
I'm a huge sports fan--Michigan Wolverines and Chicago Cubs, Bears & Blackhawks. I'm not much of an NBA fan...I still prefer NCAA!
Hobbies: reading, gardening, golfing, walking, biking, spending time with family & friends...does shopping count?!
I love listening to music, and my taste is rather expansive.
